Collagen
therapy is a protein that is naturally found
in your skin. Collagen accounts for 90% of the
volume in living skin. From the age of
25-35, our bodies loose collagen at a
rate of 1 to 1.5% per year. Laser therapy can
painlessly slow this process by stimulating your
body to produce your own natural collagen.

What is laser skin
remodeling?
Laser skin remodeling is a treatment to stimulate your body to
produce collagen naturally.
How does it work?
The laser gently heats to stimulate the production of collagen
fibers. The new collagen
gives your skin a younger, fresher look and can sometimes
reduce and soften wrinkles.
What areas of the
skin can be treated with this procedure?
All age-sensitive areas can be treated, including facial areas.
What types of skin
can be treated?
The laser can be used effectively on all skin types, even
tanned skin.
Does it hurt?
No. Some patients report mild discomfort associated with some of
the laser pulses. The feeling has been described as a pinprick
for a fraction of a second. A cooling plate on the hand piece
helps to diminish this discomfort.
Is the procedure
safe?
Yes. There are very few risks and/or side
effects associated with the treatment.
How long will the
procedure take?
The procedure can take anywhere from a few minutes to a half-hour,
depending on the size of the treatment area.
What should I expect
after treatment?
There is virtually no
downtime, and you may resume normal activity immediately. Production
of new collagen is a natural process occurring over time, so improvement
to your skin's appearance will be gradual and take place over two
to three months. |
